To access the administrative website associated with your website, visit the your domain and append /manage.php to the URL. For example, if your domain is www.computerlanguage.com, the administrative website would be located at www.computerlanguage.com/manage.php.

A basic bulletin board system exists for website administrators, enabling them to share information about site maintenance. After logging into the CMS, the administrative user is presented with a display of the most recent entries. These entries can be used to post status messages on completed/incomplete updates as well as questions and concerns about content. Any website administrator can post a new message. Website administrators with the appropriate privileges can edit or delete message entries.

Clicking on the Header and Footer buttons associated with the content type allow the website administrator to edit the header and footer text of those internal web pages. These web page contents can be edited by clicking on the button associated with the web page or section of the web page.

To simplify website content administration, there is a context sensitive help and a consistent look and feel to administrative website pages. Content listings are color coded and provided some textual and click-able previews. When possible, content entries changes are verified, e.g. format of email addresses and existence of web links.

When editing content entries, if there are problems, a Re-edit link is provided below a detailed error message and it is not necessary to re-enter previously entered data.

On every administrative web page that lists entries, there are several navigation, filter and data management features. To create a new entry, click on the Add New.. button and use the form to add a new entry. To edit an existing entry, click on the pen and ink icon. To delete an entry, click on the trash can icon. When an entry cannot be deleted, there will be an X through the trash can icon.

Entries will show their title and often some additional information such as the status and category. There are several attributes that can be previewed from the specific content listing page . These include attachments (paper clip icon), images (camera icon), web address (world icon) and email (letter icon). Clicking on these icons will bring up another browser window with the selected preview. Additional icons that are not clickable, but still provide information, include a red i in a circle to mark highlighted items and a house icon to mark entries that are specially marked to appear on the home page.

When there are entries that are not marked as Archived and past their end date or expiration date, the Purge button will be enabled, allowing you to delete all such entries with a single click. The order of entry listings can be modified by selecting the desired field in the Sort By column and clicking on the Sort button. The entries displayed defaults to all, but can be refined by selecting the filter fields and clicking on Sort and Filter. The Including filter is a special filter that looks for the text provided returning only those records that include text in the entry attributes. The |<<, <<, >> and >>| buttons are enabled if more than thirty entry listings exist. They represent start, previous page, next page and last page respectively.

After selecting the sort and filter options, you can click on Export Selected
Records and a Download File button will appear next the navigation buttons, allowing the website administrator to download the entries listings in a text file suitable for import into word processing, spread sheet and database programs.

Finally, the background color of the entry in the listing represents it's status. Green represents a Publish or Active status. Yellow represents a Submitted or Inactive status. Grey represents a Archived status. Orange represents a custom status.
